The anti-American, awakened star of the US women’s soccer team, Rapinoe, told podcaster Pablo Torre that she was offended by the way fans reacted to her injury. “We want these flawless stories, and since I’m a controversial figure, it’s kind of funny to have people kind of celebrate it while simultaneously being so dishonest about it,” Rapinoe remarked. “I’m thinking, whoa, you guys really are in a unique place in hell to be celebrating this.”
